Belfast Met has a long history of providing English language courses in Belfast. We offer two types of programmes, ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)Skills for Life and ESOL International qualifications/EFL Cambridge programme.
The ESOL Skills for Life programme is suitable for economic migrants, refugees and asylum seekers who intend to reside in Northern Ireland.
The ESOL International qualifications programme is suitable for those learners who come to Northern Ireland to study English for a specific reason, such as career or academic opportunities. We are proud to have been accredited by the British Council for the teaching of this programme since 2010. These courses lead to Cambridge International qualifications such as PET, FCE, CAE and CPE and we also provide IELTS Academic Preparation courses.
It costs nothing to get your Maths, English and ICT qualifications at Belfast Met.
Essential Skills are the most important and useful skills we all need to succeed in education, work and everyday life. At Belfast Met, you can get qualifications in English, Maths and ICT while you are completing your course.
Our Essential Skills programme means that learning in these key areas takes place alongside your full-time study. We offer Essential Skills in Literacy and Numeracy from Entry Level 1 through to Level 2, and ICT at Levels 1 and 2
Get the basics or take the next step. At Belfast Met it is free.
